do younger peeps totally get Kraftwerk straight away when they first hear them these days? i thought they were really naff when i was a kid

I would imagine this totally comes down to when and what you hear. My first Kraftwerk exposure was "Trans-Europe Express" in my mid-teens and I certainly got THAT right away, but I'm not sure I would have picked up on, say, "The Looking Glass" the same way.

Anyways. Just bought tickets to see Radiohead & Kraftwerk at Mexico City on both tourdates.
It's a good thing Kraftwerk is opening so I don't have to rush to get in there.
