iirc mojo hand brad is a good guy and folks seem to dig their fuzzes and the analog filter.
he was also the business guy behind the legendary-to-me Ultra Lord Fuzz. Man I shoulda grabbed one of those when I should...

Walrus' stuff is so great. Just ordered a Voyager from them - can't wait to get back home to try it out.

new analog delay from ibanez (the es2) just showed up and it is totally fucking amazing. 30-1000 ms analog delay with tap tempo, modulation, and a feedback switch for $150 street - it's pretty unbeatable and all of you should buy it.
― My Chemical Romance did 9/11 (jjjusten), Wednesday, 10 April 2013 22:08 (eleven years ago) link
ha I was going to revive this thread to say a public THANK YOU for the TARDIS blue pedal upthread, which I am buying a cable for tonight
― relentless technosexuality (DJP), Wednesday, 10 April 2013 22:25 (eleven years ago) link
Yeah, the Ibanez looks/sounds dope.
I love love love that DJP just dove right into straight small-batch pedal geekery. No mass produced Eddie Van Halen-endorsed crap for this dude.
― how's life, Wednesday, 10 April 2013 22:59 (eleven years ago) link
no problem man! i will sell pedals to all these ilxors.
i just spent the last hour with that ibanez. it's a complete game changer.
― My Chemical Romance did 9/11 (jjjusten), Wednesday, 10 April 2013 23:14 (eleven years ago) link
between this and the echorec idk why people would ever buy anything else. seriously.
game changer.
argh this phrase
― Im am... gobsacked (electricsound), Wednesday, 10 April 2013 23:19 (eleven years ago) link
but i am v interested in this ibanez
yeah, the echorec is still way out of my price range, but the ibanez is... still way out of my price range this month at least, but a lot closer to my budget, but very impressive given other entries in that price range.
― how's life, Wednesday, 10 April 2013 23:20 (eleven years ago) link
price range x 3
haha i agree on the game changer phrase but i couldnt think of any other way to put it. the oscillation is bizarrely pitch shift based instead of being a chorus, so on extreme settings it sweeps maybe 5 half steps above and below the original signal. never heard a $150 pedal with this much crazy built into it, esp when you throw an oscillation mode and a tap tempo in there.
in other news, sold a henretta choad blaster to a guy today for use on bass and it sounded fantastic.
― My Chemical Romance did 9/11 (jjjusten), Wednesday, 10 April 2013 23:37 (eleven years ago) link

i was hoping that said chord blaster.
― how's life, Wednesday, 10 April 2013 23:44 (eleven years ago) link
haha he makes one with the same guts named a chord blaster for people who get weirded out by the name.

i want to hear reports on the mad doctor stutter once dan gets a cord. just fyi, the rate and ratio controls are supposed to be highly interactive, so don't get freaked out when that happens (like i did until i talked to the dude from idiotbox).

Last weekend I had a chance to try out the Earthquaker Organizer and ended up picking it up. Amazingly great sound, but am not quite sure that it works well with others.
FWIW, my pedal line looks like this now: http://www.flickr.com/photos/quartzcity/8629222231/ - I suspect I'm a couple of steps closer to being one of those "One Man Ambient Guitar Band Guys On The Internet" dudes now. I can see how being a pedal geek pokes out of the same area of the brain that gets people into collecting Magic cards. Sounds righteous though.

Have you tried it in front of the fuzz?
― My Chemical Romance did 9/11 (jjjusten), Thursday, 11 April 2013 03:50 (eleven years ago) link
Just thinking that the odd harmonic stuff rolling out of lunar module might go a little wacky when run through the organizer. Is the skreddy buffered tho?
Oh yeah geek talk, it's ON

these mooer pedals are BADASS by the way, i knew they would be cool and small and cheap, but i didnt expect them to sound nearly this good irl. def exceed the hamfisted youtube demos floating around out there

hmmm. let me do some research, that's a pretty crazy tape delay. off the top of my head, im wondering if the catalinbread echorec would do it.
