Yeah, I've grown to love Mei, even though it still sometimes feels like it should've ended about 15 minutes sooner. Never warmed to The End Is Beautiful but the self-titled record (aka "Windowpane") from last year is solid with some particularly outstanding cuts ("Past Gravity", "Island"). This was also one of my first ever pre-orders, which seems to be increasingly commonplace, at least in the prog world.

three years pass...

this new album is getting pretty insane reviews; I have yet to get a copy but can anyone confirm that it's indeed the greatest thing ever?

okay just to respond to myself here, yes, yes it is, I'm stunned by how gorgeous some of the music on there is - the stretch of "Past Gravity", "When Sunday Spills" and "Speaking in Lampblack" just kills me

and "Lotus to Bethlehem" is becoming one of my favorite songs ever (also really like "This is How We Left It" which didn't make the cut)

honestly probably one of my top 5 favorite albums right now

"67 Degrees" came up on shuffle the other day and man I can't believe how great a song that is
