i feel like that comment is a window unto the closet authoritarianism of youtube. for aberkinkulas, the internet is not a place for the free exchange of ideas, where people can talk openly about which recordings of beatles songs they prefer. i know he/she is probably in fourth grade but still, it's depressing.

Listen to all the little kids dividing music into little micro genres to protect their cultural tribes and help define their own folklore. Back in the '70s, this was just "music" or "electronic disco". Today, ever musician has their own genre which is defined and everybody gets angry when you don't classify something the way they want it classified. And people get mad if sounds a certain way and isn't described the way they want. hahaha
