I'm trying to think where I should buy it since I didn't pre-order. Supermarkets don't do pre-orders so that's probably my best bet, but I'd probably have to get up stupid early to go to the nearest Tesco or whatever before work :'(

take two / rockstar have done an immense job of marshalling the hype for this game… it has been a exercise in precision control: with info only being leaked out slowly… apart from the world map being leaked to kotaku (?), they've done really well

do we even know what the hud looks like?

I've seen a couple. The only thing that was a little disappointing was how bouncy the driving bits looked (still).

it just rminded me fr all the innovation it is still a gta game and I've never partic liked gta games lol

I decided not to watch that because for whatever reason I really enjoy the process of starting a game for the first time.

Yeah - I clicked on a link that was to the opening credits and watched about ten seconds before deciding, wait - I want to see that for the first time when I'm actually playing the game. However, the gametrailers clip I linked to above doesn't really spoil anything - it's just a minute or so of a gun fight / car chase (not any different really from anything in the earlier games - though it looked good - especially the shooting!). I also watched a longer clip (removed) of Niko walking around a bit and stealing a car - didn't feel like those really spoiled anything - just gave me a little more solid idea of what to expect.

But yeah - it's time to stop watching videos and start crossing my fingers for the call from "that special someone."
