this is why I love the dance remixes from the mid noughties - they do nothing but loop the chorus and beef up the drums but that's all it needed to go from good to great.

i've heard this twice in the last year and forget where it was as a kid that I used to hear this all the time, but yeah, this is earwormy as fuck

I put this on again the other day and can't stop playing it. I am normally never into such sugary pop from that era but I guess it just evokes the right memories for me

The lyric is "Waiting for a star to fall and carry your heart into my arms, that's where you belong, in my arms, baby, yeah" so the repetition makes sense, the second part is like an afterthought on the first

I can't argue with any criticism mentioned in this thread, and yet I can't help but love the song. Probably heard it at the right age
