I don't know why I said cheesy, it's not cheesy at all. More like "smooth enough to get re-issued by Rounder". Even that is probably too harsh, the improvised tracks are really dope. I'll probably listen to it again tomorrow.

all the stivell i've heard up to the mid-seventies is pretty great, after that things get a bit iffy. my favourites would be reflets/reflections and the live at l'olympia album. i think rounder did release some of his work (on one of their subsidiaries maybe)so there you go.

been playing my old beat up copies of the first two pretty things records, lotsa skips :-( along with a comp of the electric banana material which is pretty great :-)
