I owned a half dozen or so Norton discs years ago - compilations by Charlie Feathers and Johnny Powers, a couple of multi-artist regional rockabilly things, and a few by the A-Bones, of course. Saw them play at Maxwell's once and had a blast. When I heard about Billy's death on Sunday (Miriam posted the news on Facebook), I ordered the A-Bones' 2CD best-of from Norton. Who knows how long it'll take to arrive - I don't even know if they had any employees. But it was as much about a small gesture of loyalty as about wanting to hear the music again (it's on Spotify anyway).
