# 29 - Beyond Good & Evil - 34 Points - 4 Votes

My inability to find my way around in games eventually put paid to my attempts to complete this, but it was good fun up to that point. - if

it's like all the good parts of every game genre with none of the bad parts! - tracer hand

In hindsight, this game was boring, but at the time I spent aaaaages playing it. It's probably a big part of the reason I even have any interest in cars these days (always wanted an FTO, til I realised they look nowhere near as badass in the flesh as on GT3). - craig G

(Just for the rally sections) = jimd

I am prepared to grumble about every game that places above Beyond Good & Evil, particularly those two.

what's wrong with gradius v? it's fantastic. best gradius game since... gradius 2? or maybe life force or one of the parodius games if those count.

# 26 - The Warriors - 42 Points - 6 Votes

I liked the Warriors, though I never played it through to the end. It was dark, had neat sidegames, got to play as different characters, wasn't all "there are 12 targets in this warehouse before you reach the guy who jumps through a window and gets away or dies." There was one fight that pretty much felt like what it would be like to crawl around in a dark vacant lot, looking for a brick to throw at some unknown perpetrator.

Plus you could hang out in the Warriors clubhouse, work out on the punching bag and chill with some Joe Walsh tunes. - pplains

it's the warriors, there's no point going any further guys - ogmor, on best PS2 game nom thread

The story is basically just an angry dude being angry. But the gameplay's solid, and it features some of the most vibrant, fantastic environment and bosses in any title on the platform. It's like a Greek fantasy interpreted through Frazetta. - Matt D

I downloaded my first Stevie Ray and Edgar Winter albums because of this game. - polyphonic

My bassist claims that GH has improved his arm strength a lot, so that he never gets tired from fretting during practice now. I mean, I dunno, since I've never played it. He's probably better at wanking too. - libcrypt

# 23 - Rez - 48 Points - 7 Votes

Probably liked the idea of this more than the game in all honesty. And the synathesia claims are a huge exaggeration, obviously. But the back half of that first level did somehow manage to make shooting baddies feel sort of similar to dancing in a club, and that was prety great. - JimD

Holy shit. Between this and Fahrenheit it's like I've now finally played the two games I've always wanted to play without even realizing they existed before. One, all sensation. The other, all angst. Both - fairly easy for the most part! Perfect! - tracer hand

Pretty much my all time favourite arcade racer. Handling was perfect, taking down other cars always felt great, crash mode was amazing fun on its own. - JimD

i could play crash mode forever. - Jordan

# 21 - Singstar - 51 Points - 4 Votes - 2 #1 Votes

We had a LOT of late night post-pub singstar parties, and they were all great. Might be the most fun game ever really, definitely the most sociable I've ever played, dozens of great memories in here. I guess people just really enjoy singing together, and people used to do that as a leisure activity, and then for some reason stopped (recorded music? TV?) but singstar was an excuse to start again. So in that sense it ACTUALLY MADE THE (MY) WORLD A BETTER PLACE. Therefore, first place. - JimD

A game I can play with my girlfriend. And lose! Also, watching my parents competing on "Come As You Are" is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. - if

I love Singstar. Scientific proof that you are better at singing than your friends, what more could you ask for? - chap

Top 20 should all go up Tues-Fri, and hopefully not get in the way of C&P (if we have it). Yay!

Sorry for totally hogging these mid-table blurbs. Struggling to remember what else I voted for now.
