So then I noticed this thread came up, and I was determined to find out what awful, awful song that really was that I heard that day: give it a name, right? And I have succeeded. It is Mike & The Mechanics "The Living Years" and I want to invite you all to the bonfire that is going to take place, we are going to burn every single copy of this song we can find. Carrack's on Michael Shelley's show right now, https://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/93195 , and said that "How Long" was more or less his first lead vocal. Just backing vocals here and there prior to that. Amazing.
