two weeks in, these gloves are ok to about ~30 degrees- but really almost ALL gloves are, since thats not very cold. the fit of the middle/index fingers is just too tight, they're always cold. ive been working on stretching those fingers out to improve circulation.

nice gloves, theyre just not warm enough for really cold days.

four years pass...

I really, really need a pair this year. Weather.com says my city's lowest avg low is 26*F, and I'm usually on my bike for 5-30 minutes at a time (sometimes a bit longer but very seldom more than 45 minutes); mostly for a-few-miles-long commutes. A lot of people seem to like Pearl Izumi Cyclones but I haven't tried them on yet; is it one of those things where there is no "best glove" and you just buy what you like? What brands should I seek out or avoid? What do you guys wear?

My hands have been hurting a lot lately, especially when cycling. I think it might be a form of rheumatism or something as it gets worse in the winter. Would gloves help? I wonder..

They are not specifically cycling glove, but I typically wear some windproof fleece gloves that are warm without being too bulky and have a rubbery coating ont he fingers and the palms for grip. I think they are Black diamond brand but they were one of many similar pairs in REI.
