Evil Nine remixes of: Santos - Sabots, Ils - Music, UNKLE - Reign, Pet - Superpet, Dylan Rhymes - The Way, Future Funk Squad - Towards The Sun

Evil Nine are the dogs bollocks in terms of breaks at the minute...

Adam Freeland is great: try Burn The Clock

the new Elite Force single Shadowbox is great.

some B.L.I.M. wouldn't go amiss: try Chronological

Koma & Bones are great: try their remix of Rennie Pilgrem's "Coming Up For Air"

Aquasky vs Crash Berlin feat. Kool Keith - Movin The Hype Track (Dub) is great

Baobinga - The Bashment Track ... also great!

anyway, that's just some for you to check out

I've read the thread title as "Recommend Me Some Breakfast."

Time for bed.

Jesus. Which year it is? 1997?

zeus, Wednesday, 29 June 2005 13:19 (eighteen years ago) link

no, if it was 1997 people would be recommending Rennie Pilgrim, BLIM, stuff on Adam Freeland's Marine Parade label and..... oh shit, wait....!

(yeah i love breaks still but it has gotten a little stagnant with the talent pool)

Recent stuff I've really liked - last year's Evil Nine track with Aesop (Crooked), that last Bassbin Twins single, the new JDS album is fun (if a little repetitive overall) the new ILS album is pretty rockin' actually. The new Atomic Hooligan record is fun too, but gets a little too guitarry for me (esp that first track)

Phil K And Habersham's "Cloudbrake" is pretty solid
Tony Thomas - Kwazy (PFN mix)
PMT - Afro Lava Lamp
Aphasia - Acapulco (Sean Q6 Mix)
Tom Real vs Rogue Element - Just Bash Out (Dreadzone mix)
Dave Brennan - Drink Deep (James Zabiela Remix)
Smight – Lies Labels Warnings (Habersham Remix)

that last Deekline & Wizard single was good, fitting somewhere not-so-neatly between breaks and garage

Kraymon, Nitro, Ben & Lex, Slag Bros, Dylan Rhymes, Plump DJs (still), Etostone

but yeah, depends on what you're after - there's still loads out there. Zabiela has several great mixes floating about at the moment, as well as a great new track (called something like EyeAmComputer)
