It's nonsense to say this will be the first music heard on Mars. If there's anything up there, and if it has any sort of music capable technology, it has been hearing every radio broadcast and TV broadcast since the invention of those media. They're probably already bored to tears with Blur.

*whew* Oh thank goodness. I was worried this thread would reveal Blur's plans to write a bombastic space opera taking place on a martian city in the year 2600, which would completely ruin the next year of my life.... =)

This made me laugh a bit. Then I thought it's much safer to play something ambient-y and instrumental. But what if Martians generally listen to gabba-death-blast music and listen to it and think we're a bunch of wet-blankets, set their lasers to "LIQUIFY" and blow the shiz out of us?
