Do you think this similarity in their common appellations could be used to, somehow, though i do not deny a certain piquant odour of mischeif tangential to this practise, mock the trad and or stadium rock leanings of the younger, American Adams?

Bryan Adams
When Bryan Adams has taken the stage to sing "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)" over the years, was he singing to someone other than his long-term girlfriend? According to Danish actress Cecilie Thomsen, who broke up with Adams last year after a 12-year relationship, the answer is "yes." Thomsen has just told Danish magazine Billed Bladet that while Adams was dating her, he was also carrying on an affair with Princess Diana.
Rumours of an affair between Adams and the late Diana have been circulating for years (the two did admit to being good friends), but the reports have usually been dismissed as tabloid gossip-mongering. Thomsen claims that Adams hooked up with Diana through Paul Burell, the Princess’ butler, who recently released a controversial tell-all book which reveals many details of Diana’s personal life. In the book, A Royal Duty, Burell claims that Diana had nine lovers and, although he doesn’t name any names, he describes one of her suitors as "a leading musician."
Adams, who is originally from Kingston, ON but has lived in the U.K. for some time now, sent the following statement to the British press: "Miss Thomsen doesn’t know anything about my friendship with Diana, nor does anyone else. Anything you have read from these reports is pure conjecture and supposition."
Now, that doesn’t exactly read as a denial, does it? Either way, Adams, who is in pretty tight with the Royal Family (he recently photographed Queen Elizabeth for a new Canadian stamp), will likely be gentleman enough to take the secret to his grave.
Strangely, Adams has been the subject of all kinds of weird tabloid reports this year. In May, he was mysteriously shot with an airgun while riding on his motorcycle in London (no worries, he wasn’t injured). Also, a few months earlier in March, a German girl was reportedly awoken from a six-year coma after attending an Adams concert.
Coincidentally, today is Adams’ 44th birthday. He shares his birthday with alt.country trouble maker Ryan Adams, who turns 29 today. Seriously.

Watching both at their prime years via youtube, I’d say Bryan seems way cooler than Ryan who tries too hard.

Nah just kidding Ryan Adams acoustic version of “gimme something good” is better than Bryan’s entire output. I’d still prefer having beers with the Canadian Adams.
