Anybody want a free subscription to RS? I'm renewing mine and can apparently get a free gift subscr for 1 year - only US zips though.

I just noticed that Rolling Stone has finally put up a site-wide paywall, which is a shame because for years, you could access nearly every single feature/article, interview and review they've ever published, which made it a very handy (and free) resource.

i remember being excited when i realized that there were a bunch of lester bangs reviews on rolling stone's website that had never been collected. not very long afterward i concluded that there was a reason it hadn't been collected.
