I was expecting alot more demented rambling--it's all just "why because conservative values." I guess the best takeaway is that only 3500 people have read that page in the last 4 years.

No surprise here: the Oregon Young Mass Murderer spent lots of time playing video games. [1]
And nothing else explains his killing rampage.
We pray for the victims ... and that people realize the liberal media will never criticize video games.

Rampage in another school leaves 23 injured, but this time it involves a knife: [5] And why is the liberal media largely silent on this story? Is it because there's no guns involved?

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 16 December 2012 02:33 (eleven years ago) link

The authorities know by now whether 20-year-old Adam Lanza trained with video games for this tragic massacre. So why isn't the media asking about this basic issue?--Andy Schlafly 14:44, 15 December 2012 (EST)

Sen. Daniel Inouye of Hawaii passed away today. He served in Congress for more than 53 years (since Hawaii was admitted to the Union), was awarded a Medal of Honor after losing an arm on WW2, and was respected by politicians on both sides of the aisle. Perhaps a Main Page recognition, or a news item, would be appropriate for recognizing his legacy. RonnieCole 19:49, 17 December 2012 (EST)

But what is his legacy??? If there is one, it's not obvious, other than his tremendous military service.--Andy Schlafly 20:08, 17 December 2012 (EST)

Social media is a euphemism for gossip, which is contrary to the principles on which this website was founded. Our unique visitor traffic is growing 20-30% annually without being distracted by social media. We're here to teach and to learn. I'm not sure what social media's goals are, but it's not education.--Andy Schlafly 22:20, 21 December 2012 (EST)

There's like 3 non-Americans on that list wtf? Do we now have to look to Australia, Japan, and South Korea for good examples of conservatism? More proof that Obama has destroyed America.

feel like there's also this sense in the conservative world that while most Jews are irredeemable liberals in addition to being Christ-killers, there are enough influential Jewish Republicans with Wall St money or w/e that it's best to avoid antagonizing them too much.

but at least the Israeli relatives of the irredeebably liberal Christ-killers kill even scarier brown Muslim Ay-rabs, so conservatives find it easy to make peace with them.

the whole conservative christian-israel/jewish thing is a whole... thing i dont feel like getting into but it's interesting how weirdly respectful they are, considering that, you know, jews aren't christians.

There's obscure eschatological concerns of some kind w/ the Israel thing, but I think the phenomenon of the "Judeo-Christian" dog-whistle might just be a racist assumption that if you bag on Jews you'll get blackballed by the media. (I have no evidence for this.)

autistic boy is surprisingly good at basketball (silby), Saturday, 29 December 2012 06:47 (eleven years ago) link

srsly tho who says "Judeo-Christian" except a pandering conservative Christian

now that I'm sitting here thinking about it the phrase is infuriating to me on several levels, not least because of a certain Abrahamic religion it leaves out.

…I should say "not least because it leaves out a certain other Abrahamic religion"

the iron and foolproof test of true tolerance is always, "do you want your kid to marry one?"

i strongly suspect that many Evangelicals would NOT want their kids to marry Jews (or, at least, Jews who make it known that they're not going to convert).

if you haven't watched those videos of Schlafly vs. the NJ Supreme Court, they are some of the funniest shit I've ever seen in my life. The justices, who probably routinely disagree passionately, are united in their contempt for him.

too many encores (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Saturday, 29 December 2012 13:53 (eleven years ago) link

they start here but it's the 5th one where one of the justices starts openly laughing at him because he's leaning on a letter from George Washington to his nephew that Schafly believes should be weighted as trumping the Federalist Papers, because why? GEORGE WASHINGTON

too many encores (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Saturday, 29 December 2012 13:58 (eleven years ago) link

His lawyering seems to lean heavily on the phrase "with all due respect" and hand motions that, as a commenter on that video mentioned, seem to be an attempt to summon a fireball.
