a-ha produced the ground-breaking video and song "Take On Me", despite never charting again for singles, albums, or videos.

"The Sun Always Shines on TV" hit #20 on the US charts.

You got to give him credit for sheer, unadulterated chutzpah...

It is important to note the difference between "Best of the Public" and "mob rule." Simply allowing the loudest or most numerous voices to prevail is not the same thing as allowing the best of the public to drive achievement. Sites such as Wikipedia operate on the principle of mob rule, and as a result, are plagued with bias, inaccuracy, and an inability to differentiate between significant insights and trivia.

I was expecting alot more demented rambling--it's all just "why because conservative values." I guess the best takeaway is that only 3500 people have read that page in the last 4 years.

No surprise here: the Oregon Young Mass Murderer spent lots of time playing video games. [1]
And nothing else explains his killing rampage.
We pray for the victims ... and that people realize the liberal media will never criticize video games.

Rampage in another school leaves 23 injured, but this time it involves a knife: [5] And why is the liberal media largely silent on this story? Is it because there's no guns involved?

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 16 December 2012 02:33 (eleven years ago) link

The authorities know by now whether 20-year-old Adam Lanza trained with video games for this tragic massacre. So why isn't the media asking about this basic issue?--Andy Schlafly 14:44, 15 December 2012 (EST)

Sen. Daniel Inouye of Hawaii passed away today. He served in Congress for more than 53 years (since Hawaii was admitted to the Union), was awarded a Medal of Honor after losing an arm on WW2, and was respected by politicians on both sides of the aisle. Perhaps a Main Page recognition, or a news item, would be appropriate for recognizing his legacy. RonnieCole 19:49, 17 December 2012 (EST)

But what is his legacy??? If there is one, it's not obvious, other than his tremendous military service.--Andy Schlafly 20:08, 17 December 2012 (EST)

Social media is a euphemism for gossip, which is contrary to the principles on which this website was founded. Our unique visitor traffic is growing 20-30% annually without being distracted by social media. We're here to teach and to learn.
