The reviews I read of this year's Heart of Dixie mixtape all frame the tape around the premise that Radioactive was a potentially career killing disaster.

Also, Yela opens the tape by rapping “Why do I feel like I never had Marshall Mathers’ co-sign sometimes?/Like Radioactive failed? Maybe when I tell myself I’m one of the best, I’m just lyin’," so he seems to think something went wrong there, too.

This is Phantogram, by the way. I actually like them quite a bit but they have no place on a fucking Big Boi record. (Plus the collab they've already teased from the Big Boi record sucks.)

looking back at the yela thread, yeah some people put in good notices for the track, but no one was remotely as enthusiastic about it (or the album) as you

So yeah, I feel like to the extent that Radioactive didn't kill Yelawolf's career, it's because not a lot of people actually heard it. Terrible album.

yeah, and the problem isn't so much that he stopped rapping well so much as he just started making terrrrrrible creative decisions

On thing I like about the song with Andre is that Tip sounds really relaxed in a way he hasn't often lately.

that trinidad james gold track seems like a joke

before anyone asks i'll preface this by saying i have a promo, i don't think this has leaked

so i'm not sure yet if this is genuinely terrible or not but wow. every song i'm like "hmmm you know this one doesn't sound terrible" and then someone who isn't sleep brown comes to sing the chorus & it's just like *closes eyes, exhales slowly*

Yes I like that too. First half of the album holds up, then Big Boi keeps forgetting to rap and the guests take over and it all unravels.
