Hello IMM. I'm not really a musician, not like most of you, so this is a bit unnerving for me but I'd like some feedback on the thing I wrote today. I can't play guitar *at all*, but I did this regardless. The plan is this'll be re-recorded with someone who can play guitar and get it mixed properly obviously haha.

The drum machine (especially the snare and shaker) is drowning out the rest of the instruments, and needs to be mixed lower in volume so the rest of the track can breathe.

That's sorta my goal. Heavily influenced by first generation uk techno/IDM and the prettier side of vintage Detroit/Chicago techno and house with Mir of a new wave/kraut rock vibe combined with a bit of experimentation and incompetence.

incompetence is always a good seasoning when used lightly

I gave an old track a bit of a mix, sharpened the arrangement and put some hats at the beginning (for DJs). Lots of pianos/electric pianos and a little Justin Timberlake vocal. You can download it if you so desire.
