I got a really fattening and gross grilled cheese sandwich for lunch today and I blame this thread.

when i was a kid i really wanted to eat at t.g.i. fridays for my birthday like more than anything mostly because they had these commercials for these mountainous desserts slathered in whip cream and chocolate sauce that looked p damn appealing but my dad refused because he was morally opposed to chain restaurants or s.thing and i always kinda resented my dad for his refusal to let me and my sister like have some mcdonalds fries even once. and like as a kid i would trade all the delicious fruit and homemade granola bars i got packed for lunch for one crappy dunkaroo packet cuz we werent allowed them but then the other day i was cooking up some new variations on trial mix with stuff i got at the farmers market and was filled with a deep sadness and a desire to go costco and buy an economy sized box of sodalicious snak paks

oh man i was super jealous of the dunkaroos kids too. though my parents let me eat the school cafeteria lunches a couple times a week which was probably more damaging than any processed snack product

dunkaroos were awesome so were lunchables

I just shared this article w/ my mom & she informed me that "(awesome) pretzel chicken tenders" were stolen from one of the restaurants he covered in Diners etc. maybe not news to y'all, but I found it kinda sad to imagine Fieri just driving around the heartland, stealing state-fair-esque gimmicks, and selling them to the clueless yokels who wander into Times Square

There's nothing inherently wrong with pepper jack, you should just think twice before melting a block of it on top of your sushi
