Was that the Kiss-type band? I think they were called The Dank. I remember being fascinated and waiting for the credits.

i cosign duvall hotness %1000

and what (ooo), Wednesday, 7 June 2006 12:30 (seventeen years ago) link

the song in that movie that sticks out most to me is Little Richard's number about partying with the king. Although sometimes it's the song from the beginning, or end, or maybe middle, with those ladies telling Gordon to "hop to it." I don't actually remember anything of these songs besides "party with the king! woo!" and "hop to it," so maybe saying they "stick out" is overstatement.

There was an episode of Fairy Tale Theatre with Robin Williams, that one had the also hot Teri Garr in it instead of Shelly Duvall though. I think Shelly Duvall was in one with Jeff Bridges, Rapunzel maybe???

OK I'm off to go shoot myself in the head now dudes.

robin williams was the frog who turned into a prince! my mom got me that video from the library!! & didnt tim burton direct some arabian nights inspired faerie tale theatre?? i remember paul reubens too, actually the whole thing kinda fit into some kinda weird alt-80s kitsch b-52s/devo childrens entertainment like pee wee's playhouse & stuff. im trying to remember as much as possible w/o looking it up but i do know that it was spelled 'faerie tale theatre' all ren faire goth style

rumor has it that shining doc is highly, uh, mediated, and that there were all kinds of crazier screaming tantrums and breakdowns that were filmed but supressed by daddy.

I don't care if he does live in Capitol Hill, he's not a jackass, I've never seen him wear a striped shirt OR a polo, and he plays drums. He should have one girlfriend. Leave him alone, dudes!

i luv polo shirts.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 14 June 2006 14:14 (seventeen years ago) link

in fact some of my favorite people wear them all the time - my father, selzer, ddb and at least 3 others i can think of.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 14 June 2006 14:16 (seventeen years ago) link

there are really many factors that go into whether or not a polo is "assholish" or ok that aren't being addressed. I mean green polo upthread is pretty clearly an asshole, and that shirt definitely contributes to the "asshole" aura. I dunno how to define it, it's down entirely to the way the thing fits and the color scheme, I think.
