The landlord in Oakland has been commiserating about some lousy tenants. They feel bad about putting a lien on this couple's rental because the guy's fought in Iraq and is supposedly waiting for another big payment from Uncle Sam. Meanwhile, the other leasors bring up the point that the vet has a new boat and a brand new truck in his driveway. So much hand-wringing.

This might be the first time you’ll get excited about your car getting a ticket. Because right now, we’ll give you a free movie ticket when you bring your 2008 KIA Rio in for an oil change.

Just print out the enclosed coupon and bring it in before December 31, 2012 to see a movie on us.

woke up to a whole load of these this morning between people who share the Fizzles family name:

hey my dears,

so I am run over by a big train - well that's what it feels like at least. Man those first two days were tiring! Sign this here, do this, do that,... and I am just standing there not knowing the administratives etc. at all.
Man I feel like a total looser but everyone is really nice and I think I will adapt at some point.

Hope you guys are doing well.

I love you,

K

What part of “Sack up” did you not understand?

Jeez.

You’ll be fine.

You will be absolutely FINE...better than fine!!! I have every faith in you...just don't kill anybody :-)) (Just trying to get a laugh out of you!)

Fizzles, Wednesday, 3 October 2012 18:49 (eleven years ago) link

i feel bad about posting those now. they seem like a nice bunch. it was just strange waking up glimpsing an entire community of alternate universe doppelgangers (one of them shared my mum's name as well).

Each one of these dudes has the same government first and last name:

I keep getting order confirmations from a bottled water company and the name on the account is (not this but close) Joyce Bermstrong which, aside from the initials, is not even close to my name/email address. Does Joyce have no concept of how to spell her last name? Was she just like "They want an email, I'll just put in jbirdch✧✧✧@whate✧✧✧.c✧✧, yeah that's good"? idgi

Hi Mike,

I am reaching out to see if you can put a great word in for me with J4son Sp4cek? I was told he is doing the purchasing for signage like the samples below we have done. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you Mike

From: Mr. Lube

Dear MH,

The spookiest night of the year is almost here! But before you carve pumpkins and sort out costumes, be sure to stop by Mr. Lube for a free, reflective Halloween bag*. It’s got plenty of room for candy and will help keep your little ones safe when they head out trick or treating.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!

Fellow Catholic,

Tomorrow it will be just you and your conscience in the voting booth.

We live in a country that invests so much responsibility in the individual. And we used to live in a country that had so much respect for the rights of the individual.

But those rights, especially the rights of conscience are under attack. Employers are now told to check their religious beliefs at the door of their offices, the government wants to tell churches who they can hire and fire, charities are forced to choose between crippling fines or serving the poor with integrity.

No one should be forced to choose between their livelihood or their conscience. No one should get between you and YOUR conscience.

When you vote tomorrow, vote your conscience.

Being Catholic, they seek redemption by suffering through the crippling fines. You can't offer a choice like that to Catholics. It's not fair!

one month passes...

Just testing, I would like a UofM football jersey for when they hold “where your favorite team jersey to work days”, I prefer the white background with Blue and Yellow letters to the Blue Background with Maze letters. Size XL. They make three different prices, the official jersey is over $150 and I don’t need one of those, then they have a more expensive replica for around $70-80 and a less expensive replica for around $50. I like the one in the middle, the more expensive replica. I know I’m asking a Pitt chick for a Wolverine Jersey, but I am a UofM alumni, so I think it’s OK. You could/should do this together with a sister if you do this. Obviously one of your sisters has easy access to shop for one of these.

Also, on my list, iTunes gift cards (make sure Mom get’s me one).

I also always like ¼ zip cotton sweaters or ¼ zip fleece (if you get fleece, I really like the Eddie Bauer First Ascent ¼ zip fleece). Size XL.

mophie juice pack powerstation® duo –go to www.mophie.com, this is a rechargeable portable battery that can be used to recharge an iPad or iPhone when you don’t have access to a power outlet. It’s about $100.00. The only easy way to get one of these is online, the apple store carries some models, but usually they have the phone case/battery packs which I don’ t because they make the phone too big.

I could use another fleece shirt, or extra thick flannel shirt, in XL, I wear these like a jacket over other stuff

You can share this with your sisters and mom.

By the way, I already ordered a case for my iPhone 5 for Mom to give me, so I don’t need phone case.
