This really ought to have been the worldwide version of the poster for Tootsie:

This one is for Rosemary's Baby. I have no idea what the hell is going on here.

No surprise there, Horace! ;)

Is this where you tell us again that you have a small part in an Andy Garcia film that no-one's seen? I think you're referring to the Mamet-scripted LAKEBOAT:

Dan looks so happy to have a flock of me at his command.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 1 May 2003 14:35 (twenty-one years ago) link

But yes, its hardly a dud. It would probably make millions from ILXors alone.

Nordic...

This is the Andy Garcie movie I'm in. It was filmed as Sins of the Father
http://www.cinestudio.it/_uscite_01_02/_loc7/theunsaidloc.jpg

As far as I can tell, it was only ever released theatrically in Italy.
I'm in 2 of the university scenes.

1) Garcia is giving a lecture. Sharp viewers will notice me in all parts of the hall. Since they shuffled us around for each take.

2) Garcia and Teri Polo leave the university. I walk behind him as he leaves the building, and then cross right in front of him (so close that I shoulder-checked during one take). I should be visible. I'm wearing a green canvas jacket. It was supposed to be late fall in Kansas or Kentucky, but was really scorching hot August in Saskatchewan. So I'm probably glistening. That was a fun two days. I made $200 or something, and basically sat around and ate sandwichs.

Movies, nor movie posters, just don't get any dudlier than this:

The tag line alone is pretty shit. I can think of about 10 things wrong with it.

Nick A. (Nick A.), Thursday, 1 May 2003 17:51 (twenty-one years ago) link

no they must both remain. KJ is that much of a dud that it deserves double the whatever it is we're doing to duds here.

That kangaroo jack tagline is my new obsession.

Fivvy (Fivvy), Thursday, 1 May 2003 19:44 (twenty-one years ago) link

they banned that movie in Saskatchewan. Where I live.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 1 May 2003 19:48 (twenty-one years ago) link

I think any recent film that has had a poster involving two famous actors, each facing the viewer, with each face cut off by half due to poster size and design, has been a bad movie.

Aaron Grossman (aajjgg), Thursday, 1 May 2003 19:55 (twenty-one years ago) link

notable exception:

buttch (Oops), Thursday, 1 May 2003 20:04 (twenty-one years ago) link

kangaroo jack is a motherfucker, I know because I have seen this movie. I also saw the trumpeter swan or whatever it was called, this was sad and shitty.

I love how almost every word on the cover is a superlative. Overselling an inferior product is an invitation to suicide.
