That’s not all, though--TCM host Robert Osborne, with Jerry Beck co-hosting, are also presenting both Fleischer features, a block of UPA cartoons, and The Adventures of Prince Achmed in addition to the early NYC shorts.

Star of the month: Stanwyck, some funky early 30s yesterday, sorry I couldn't pull myself away long enough to alert. Today's not her, but survivors of Nuclear War (she shoulda done one of those; imagine being in a suburban fallout shelter w 50s her). Tonight: Crumb one of my fav docs ever, 1:00 a.m. CST, followed by Gaudi, feat Gaudi himself, from 1966.

Cool! I guess that'll be the first time the words "did you know he masturbates to his own work" are spoken on TCM. Speaking of Zwigoff, I watched Louie Bluie a few weeks ago and it is really really good.

Yes. I'd begun to wonder what it might be like for someone his age in the early 70s, when the more fun aspects of the 60s surfaced and spread through the Deep South (maaan, lemme tell ya). And Louie's ready with an answer or five.

Crumb is o_O Bizarrely fascinating even if, like me, you know next to nothing about him. "Benefit" I dunno...

yeah it's a great doc imo

I more or less learned to read by reading my dad's underground comix so Crumb is a touchstone as much as Dr. Seuss or Big Bird really. I remember liking the doc but i last saw it when it was first released; probably due for a rescreening.
