I was in Pittsburgh last week and ate at this place. Never heard of it before,but seemed interesting. Can't believe they are so homophobic and not afraid to let the world know it. Food was alright nothing special.

just momentarily back to Huckabee, this guy is the worst, the gall of calling complaints against this place 'bigotry', i just need to know what green light in the guy's mind makes driving past the obvious logical roadblock there okay

there is certainly prejudice at play in the decision to boycott an establishment whose founder openly supports discriminatory measures, but it's a form of prejudice that I am more than happy to indulge in; I think being prejudiced against people who want to keep others from having equal rights is a moral imperative

I've never been to Chik-Fil-A (there weren't any where I lived when I still ate meat), so I don't know how good the food is -- but the company's overt Christianity (closed on the Sabbath!) weirded me out even before the anti-gay brouhaha.

Not that there's a Chik-Fil-A in NYC, or maybe NYU had one in one of its cafeterias for like a second? That can't have lasted long or ended well, under the circs? But yeah, their religiousity was always gross to me.

I'm not sure if comparing them to fried chicken places is valid because Chik-fil-a is almost all chicken patties/nuggets/strips. It's mostly finger food.

Yeah, this is kind of odd. I thought their conservative/fundie/homophobe bona fides were universally known. I've been avoiding giving them my money for at least a decade, since I heard about them donating to Eagle Forum and the AFA and such.

This reminds me of when I sadly could no longer get the tofu sandwich at Your Black Muslim Bakery because they murdered a journalist.

this has literally never happened to me at a chick-fil-a. i also worked at a chick-fil-a for a few weeks right before graduating high school. i imagine it might be different for store managers or franchise owners, but there was zero religious pressure put on me or any employees that i could see. in any case, fuck 'em.
