Diana Ross' 80's stuff, like "Swept Away", and "Pieces of Ice", are now on Spotify. They weren't the last time I looked:

Placebo have recently jumped on board too. Molko was slagging it off all over the place only last year so not sure what's gone on there.

I for one am very happy that all three albums of my mysterious childhood favourites Disco-Tex And His Sex-O-Lettes have apparently just been added (the third album is listed under Sir Monti Rock III). Even the 45 of "Hot Lava" is there!

from Rolling Stone newsletter:Tom Petty, Neil Young Publisher Sues Spotify for $1.6 BillionBy Jon Blistein4 hours agoWixen Music Publishing, which owns works by Tom Petty, Neil Young, Weezer, the Doors and more, has sued Spotify for using thousands of songs allegedly without license and compensation, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The publishing company is reportedly seeking damages worth at least $1.6 billion, plus injunctive relief.
With more than 60 million subscribers, the streaming service can make or break a song. Here's how the industry is adjusting
Wixen's lawsuit follows several lawsuits that have focused on Spotify's alleged failure to pay royalties on a song's musical composition. Recorded songs have two separate copyrights: The sound recording, which is typically owned by the record label, and the musical composition (also known as the "mechanical license"), which is owned by the songwriter and publisher.https://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/tom-petty-neil-young-publisher-sues-spotify-for-16-billion-w514859?utm_source=rsnewsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=daily&utm_campaign=010218_18

Riley/Cale Church of Anthrax is up -- a new arrival I think, since only the title track has a play count.
