i second the complain about iphone 3 running 5 aaaaachingly slow. that was the worst "upgrade" ever - i wish i never would have done it!

I dont recall I had a choice? Or maybe I needed 5 to run a game I wanted, or something dumb. Facebook runs like TOTAL ARSE on my phone. I'm not upgrading my phone - I didnt pay for it to start with, dont see why I should start now.

(heh I will just wait til my flatmate does his insanely regular device upgrade and yoink his discarded 4s)

Plenty of people have already been that guy on the app store and it hasn't made the blindest bit of difference. Running it through Safari is an improvement.

I haven't accessed Facebook anywhere but from safari on any iOS device for at least a year now. their mobile website is perfectly one and a huge improvement on the app.

Stet, do you know why the time stamps are an hour behind on Zing? Is it because we're in BST? I have my location set to Europe/London and the time stamps show up right in the browser version.

BTW, I don't know if you're aware, but the ask markers thread will not open on Zing. It's been that way for weeks and I just checked and it's still not working.

Just bought the new app, looking forward to trying it out. Does anyone use it for non-ILX purposes? Seems like it is possibly designed to work with other web sites too, but I'm not really clear about what that means or if I'm just confused.

I've heard you can use it for the sandbox but I never tried.

Alba: Yes, that's fixed in this version. For Apple, "Europe/London" doesn't respect DST, but "GMT" does. Nice.

Ask Markers: Fixed, the server was returning bad data for a post on that thread, weirdly.

Non-ILX: Yeah, the idea is to not restrict it to /ILX -- you can use it for the sandbox or if you have another conversation board. I have one at work I use for projects.

Is this an update or a new app? It's not on my updates list and when I search for Zing Touch, it says that it's already installed.

next up: killfile ON IPHONE

(killfile would be neater on iphone because you have to iterate all the messages before displaying them anyway (ok, depends how alan is doing this) and you can keep a list of blocked people on the phone, not in the script, and have clickable interface to block / unblock)

New version looks slick. 2 features I'd love:

1. Ability to zoom/pan images.
2. Tab/page for my bookmarks (even if they HAVEN'T been updated).
