In a music store, Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid', only something went wrong with the PA system at the start of the solo and Tony Iommi's guitar sounded like a wasp in a tailpipe.

'tis the season... to listen to terrible Christmas music:

  • A live brass band playing an out of tune rendition of 'I Saw Three Ships'.
  • Diana Ross, 'I'm Still Waiting'
  • Shopping-mall-lite version of 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas'.

I HATE THAT SONG SO MUCH

KMFAO (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 4 December 2013 19:32 (ten years ago) link

According to Wikipedia Macca earns $400,000 a year from it. I don't hate the song exactly, but it's such a nothing song, who would have thought he'd coin so much from it?

Anyway, continuing with the Christmas theme in my local circle of Hell shopping centre: 'Step Into Christmas' by Elton John. Which somehow I find more tolerable than 'Wonderful Christmastime', but still, it's not a track I'd choose to listen to.

"I Was Born On Christmas Day" by Saint Etienne while I was shopping for pillows and an 8" square cake pan. This made me irrationally giddy and eager as it is my 2nd favorite Christmas song, and my best friend and I danced in a really sad and decrepit part of the Seasonal section together.
