Dude, that song is cool. Yeah, some ropey lyrics, but I remind you that this is a poll about modern rock hits in 1996 - - - I think you could get fined back then if your song didn't have a labored, cynical Jesus reference and/or bold statement of personal bleak hollowness.

yeah, 2nd Eels album is def their saving grace (although not totally devoid of the qualities i hate about their hit)

Although "Last Stop: This Town" is awesome, too... and probably one of the weirder songs to get Modern Rock airplay. Talking carrot video also strange.
