"When you make me pee"

I must be old, I recognise nobody in ITV2 idents (aldo), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:08 (eleven years ago) link

i like the moonwalking bagpipe player

kid steel (cajunsunday), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:09 (eleven years ago) link

liking the unplayed instrument with THREE brass bells sticking out of big brass bell. That can't be real, surely?

anatol_merklich, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:09 (eleven years ago) link

It's the pro musician's trick of storing multiple vuvuzelas in a Wangerian Tuba.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:10 (eleven years ago) link

Denmark - rhyming 'stranger' with 'stranger', good job.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:11 (eleven years ago) link

Denmark- she is both the Captain and Tenille (thanks for that one, Molly)

Guilty_Boksen, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:11 (eleven years ago) link

Greece definitely dont want to win this year.

Guilty_Boksen, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:14 (eleven years ago) link

I think that Greece's song is going to do well, even if they don't want it to actually win.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:15 (eleven years ago) link

It's the closest we have to an obvious Shakira clone this year.

Guilty_Boksen, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:16 (eleven years ago) link

I actually thought she was miming for about the first two bars, then she hit that flat note and has been pitchy ever since. </randyjackson>

I must be old, I recognise nobody in ITV2 idents (aldo), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:17 (eleven years ago) link

This reminds me of the Greek entry from the year their stage routine included a giant white neon stapler.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:17 (eleven years ago) link

er, yes, this could really win...Germans en masse to vote for it.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:17 (eleven years ago) link

"University of Surrey in London" ffs Norton, it's in Guildford.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:18 (eleven years ago) link

ideas on how could they host? Def open air, for a start...taking right back to classical basics. xp

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:19 (eleven years ago) link

greece winning would be hilarious

sonderangerbot, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:19 (eleven years ago) link

if Greece wins Cyprus will host i think

Ludo, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:19 (eleven years ago) link

Sweden sounds much better than the semi-finals.

Temporarily Famous In The Czech Republic (ShariVari), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:21 (eleven years ago) link

I am loving Sweden cos I have always wanted Bats for Lashes to do a straight dance track.

Guilty_Boksen, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:21 (eleven years ago) link

A few times in the past, countries have won and then couldn't afford to host. Luxembourg won in 1973 (for the second year running?) and the 1974 contest was hosted in the UK.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:21 (eleven years ago) link

I actually don't like this Swedish one.

I must be old, I recognise nobody in ITV2 idents (aldo), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:21 (eleven years ago) link

We'll have a bunch of Olympics stuff lying around unused anyway.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:22 (eleven years ago) link

I hope he saved some Tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrkeeeeeeeeeeeey for us!

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:22 (eleven years ago) link

BOATMAN LAND

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:24 (eleven years ago) link

"My chef is big, uh-hunh"

This so is Sacha B-C

I must be old, I recognise nobody in ITV2 idents (aldo), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:24 (eleven years ago) link

They fucked up the manboat.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:26 (eleven years ago) link

NAKHCHIVAN!

Temporarily Famous In The Czech Republic (ShariVari), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:27 (eleven years ago) link

Spain's singer looks constipated and I'm not surprised. "No pressure, but don't win, OK?"

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:29 (eleven years ago) link

Germany's song has 'Jamie Cullum joint' written all over it.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:32 (eleven years ago) link

Agreed. Germany is diabolical.

Guilty_Boksen, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:33 (eleven years ago) link

I quite liked Spain. Germany is pretty awful though, like a cheap version of The Script. Jamie Cullum you say?

I must be old, I recognise nobody in ITV2 idents (aldo), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:33 (eleven years ago) link

Fun fact: you can pretty much sing the chorus of last year's winner on top of this German one

anatol_merklich, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:33 (eleven years ago) link

xp he's co-writer

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:33 (eleven years ago) link

This performance would be better if he a) stopped grinning, and b) actually stands still while singing the line 'standing still'.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:34 (eleven years ago) link

The Shadows are back!

Guilty_Boksen, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:37 (eleven years ago) link

THIS IS SO SHITE THIS IS SO SHITE

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:37 (eleven years ago) link

Those Southern Europeans must've have used all their idle time to bring it this year: Cyprus-Greece-Malta to co-host it next year.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:39 (eleven years ago) link

"come on give me a hug" -wtf??

Guilty_Boksen, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:40 (eleven years ago) link

FYR Macedonia's answer to Bonnie Tyler.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:41 (eleven years ago) link

Macedonia for the win.

I must be old, I recognise nobody in ITV2 idents (aldo), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:41 (eleven years ago) link

I don't think that guy's actually playing that guitar.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:42 (eleven years ago) link

Xpost

Nah, Spain's power ballad was better.

Guilty_Boksen, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:43 (eleven years ago) link

developing giant soft spot for the FYROM right now. This is NOT false metal.

anatol_merklich, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:43 (eleven years ago) link

JEDWARD!

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:43 (eleven years ago) link

Worst production of Shakespeere's 'Henry V' ever...

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:44 (eleven years ago) link

See, it's not as much fun now that they're borderline competent. Except for the bizarre "and the way I'm rubbing her now" line.

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:46 (eleven years ago) link

Love Is Not A Thing

kid steel (cajunsunday), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:48 (eleven years ago) link

Taking a cue from that famous song by Boston, 'More Than A Object'

Radical Jedward (snoball), Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:48 (eleven years ago) link

"see my vest, see my vest" etc.

Actually, I like this.

Guilty_Boksen, Saturday, 26 May 2012 20:53 (eleven years ago) link
