kinda bullshit if it was just a way to get out a small club tour and re-book it in bigger venues...

around the time that her big song was breaking adele cancelled a gig at First Avenue because of a "sore throat", which just happened to be re-booked 2 months later at the 20,000 capacity target center

it could very well be a result of a label dispute re: contractual touring obligations

Like, dude has been touring 10 years and knows the importance of like making sure the dude from TT The Bear's isnt pissed at you, which is why i think there's probably something bigger going on
