GoT SPOILER ALERT (Gukbe), Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:40 (eleven years ago) link

I can see City attempting to put together some kind of outlandish Pep/Messi package

Should M'Vila make a move to the Emirates in the summer transfer window, he will face competition for a place from the returning Denilson.

lol

Denilson doesn't even want to come back

Number None, Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:44 (eleven years ago) link

for a place at the dinner table?

OMG I'VE JUST REALISED THE WOLVES JOB'S AVAILABLE

seapunk run. run punk run! (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:47 (eleven years ago) link

so will be McLeish, soon

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:49 (eleven years ago) link

quiet you

seapunk run. run punk run! (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:49 (eleven years ago) link

Yeah, let McLeish relegate WBA next after Villa. Wolves can wait.

pandemic, Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:52 (eleven years ago) link

Alex MCleish has been appointed manager for the West Midlands circuit. With his tenure in Aston set to terminate, he becomes Lord of Wolverhampton and environs commencing June 2012.

Why did Coventry ever move from Highfield Road?

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:07 (eleven years ago) link

same as most clubs - it was valuable real estate

seapunk run. run punk run! (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:09 (eleven years ago) link

OMG I'VE JUST REALISED THE WOLVES JOB'S AVAILABLE

Makes sense, I hear that Guardiola wants a break from football.

fun loving and xtremely tolrant (Billy Dods), Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:14 (eleven years ago) link

Pep started with the best club. My bet is if he doesn't get the Spain job next, we could see Rijkaard-esque fall off.

Hope he doesn't though, he seems like a genuine dude and I'd like to see him make Brescia great or something.

Thoughts? You must have loads. (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:16 (eleven years ago) link

Did Rijkaard ever get offered a good job post Barca though? Pep will get offers at clubs that are Ch Lge contenders imo
xp

pandemic, Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:21 (eleven years ago) link

He NEEDS to take the England job. Imagine the look on his face when he turns up for training the first day

Number None, Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:22 (eleven years ago) link

JT's to be allowed to lift the CL trophy if C win. I'd like to think that'll disillusion the guys with the job of actually winning the thing, but it doesn't seem to work that way at SB.

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:31 (eleven years ago) link

Is he gonna be in the stands all dressed up in his kit?

pandemic, Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:32 (eleven years ago) link

can't badge-kiss in a suit

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:34 (eleven years ago) link

club suit surely?

I demand he wear his full playing kit.

pandemic, Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:39 (eleven years ago) link

visualizing that image is going to add some spice to this final at least

Number None, Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:40 (eleven years ago) link

will he wear his kit to his trial though?

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:43 (eleven years ago) link

will wear it under his George suit won't he, then whip it off in the bogs if he has to go and collect the trophy

seapunk run. run punk run! (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:43 (eleven years ago) link

He'll try to dirty up the kit as well. In 25 yrs time he'll be showing his grandchildren pics of the time he captained Chelsea to European Cup success.

pandemic, Thursday, 26 April 2012 18:47 (eleven years ago) link

Actually for added authenticity he should probably wear a Bayern shirt as if he had swapped it post match

I actually bought that top about a month before that match, seeing it reduced to half price in a sports shop and not realising that was because they were going to stop wearing it at the end of the season (obviously this was a few years before they became famous for ditching shirts).

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Thursday, 26 April 2012 21:30 (eleven years ago) link

I always thought that was an adidas-logo-pattern, but it's not. What is it, some sort of maple leaf thing?

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 26 April 2012 21:32 (eleven years ago) link

it was a time of pure aesthetics and computer-generated wonderment i would suggest

agree it does have a nice canadian winter olympics quality to it tho, perhaps a cool runnings influence
