has anyone been to tasty noodle house in san gabriel? the photos look pretty jaw-dropping.

Pretty sure I have been there, and it is good, but been so long I don't remember the exact dishes I tried. I went with the LA Asian Foodies Meetup group, which I recommend for finding restaurants. Most events are in the San Gabriel Valley, Little Tokyo, and Koreatown.

Liked seeing the different geographies in my Twitter stream light up as the tow truck chase went through Hollywood, and then Glendale

Yes! It was great. You should have gone. Etc.

Fave musical part was Barbara Manning channeling Neil Young's "Arc" guitar sound. Fave part was the Dunedin pub built from scratch specifically for the show. The pho place next door was also noteworthy.

As noted he's at the gallery both on the 18th and 19th; our OC bunch is doing the 19th one as it's better for our schedule.

I'll be at the opening on the 18th (works better for my schedule). It's a cool gallery, same place the Natty Brooker/SP3 art exhibition was a couple years ago.

Conflicting shows tonight though. I really want to go see Stan Ridgway out at Pappy & Harriets. I also want to see White Hills at the Echo and Devo too of course, but I have to go to LAX tonight and so Devo it is.

Also, the Arclight Hollywood is showing Barry Lyndon in the Cinerama Dome tonight, tomorrow and Tuesday. Thinking of going on Tuesday.

Some "Tiki" Bar that had no kitsch appeal but the best rum drinks, i cannot remember the name. completely non-descript building
Walked around Chinatown, i think (anyway it was around Phillipes). there was an open air market there, ended up having good Margaritas
Bought Jamesons at a CVS which cannot be done in Ohio

had a great time.
