I know, I had considered it, I'll put reissue stuff in that thread then. Mentally I think of that thread as crate digging or youtube discoveries rather than records that have repackaged and back on the shelves.

well whatever thread its on that is an incredible track.

petar dundov's album is really good despite "distant shores" being a MASSIVE ANTHEM for the likes of sven vath and digweed

so do you guys hate this kind of thing? i posted it on the prog house thread but nobody goes there. i like it. is this kid's music? i have no idea. do you roll your eyes and kiss your teeth when you hear stuff like this? just curious. i've never heard of sander van doorn.

hi scott, I don't think it's "kids music" per se. It's nice sounding, kind of a prog house version of the some of gui borrato's stuff? But also kinda generic sounding imo, in the same way, say, coldplay is generic sounding

I love a big slice of OTT trance. I'd rather die than go to a club playing it but go for a run with some on your iPod, reach the top of a big hill and you feel like you own the world.

yeah, i wonder why i like it so much. i think its really just that opening. and honestly its probably just cuz it reminds me a little of the alan parsons project at the beginning. and i kinda gravitate toward progressive house (or trance) that reminds me of prog rock. i can see that guy providing good backing tracks for a pop singer. and making that work.

its definitely something i would never listen to on my own. i just happened to be obsessed with pop trance tracks the other night and this song was on a prog house mix on youtube. there are some really cheesy prog house mixes on youtube. in case you didn't know.
