gr8080 that must be a boot or reissue. someone upload it. you could buy it on yahoo.jp auctions or towerrecords.jp a couple years ago.
― sanskrit, Sunday, 20 January 2008 22:35 (sixteen years ago) link
its on juno.co.uk that's where i spotted it
― gr8080, Sunday, 20 January 2008 22:37 (sixteen years ago) link
Yea, there was a 2005 or so release also. I never bought that one. The other version has different cover art. IIRC Anarchy Village is the same thing or nearly the same thing as "777" from some Psy-Harmonics comp. I think there's a version of that track on shock city 1 also

Carnegie Deli, motherfuckers.
― Whiney G. Weingarten, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 00:32 (sixteen years ago) link
the remix disc is indeed good, tho from the sound of it, I'm guessing mostly older stuff (no track dates on the songs, and I'm not familiar w/a lot of them). there could easily be a whole other disc of newer stuff -- and I think his lindstrom remix from last year is one of his best.

― am0n, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 17:14 (sixteen years ago) link
ooioo is distributed in NoAm by thrill jockey.
― Steve Shasta, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 17:29 (sixteen years ago) link
maybe Boredoms are Gavin McInnes loyalists
― sexyDancer, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 17:36 (sixteen years ago) link
Yea, some of those remixes look to date to early 2000s at latest
― Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 17:51 (sixteen years ago) link
that doesn't explain why boredoms left vice
― am0n, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 19:27 (sixteen years ago) link
or were they just doing the reissues not new stuff
― am0n, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 19:31 (sixteen years ago) link
I'm lost here. Vice did some reissues in the USA? Boredoms have only released 2 new releases (Seadrum/House of Sun and Super Roots 9) in the past 9 years, who distributed those in the USA, Vice?
― Steve Shasta, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 19:33 (sixteen years ago) link
xpost.
vice
― jhøshea, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 19:34 (sixteen years ago) link
yea vice did seadrum plus super roots reissues i think
― sleep, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 19:35 (sixteen years ago) link
i forgot about seadrum and 9, but:
Seminal noisemakers Boredoms have inked a deal with Thrill Jockey for the release of the 2004 live recording of Super Roots 9. It’s only the “first in a series of records planned for release by the Boredoms in conjunction with Thrill Jockey.” Look forward to “singles, special limited editions, along with albums.” While no release date was announced for Super Roots 9, Thrill Jockey did promise that the release will come included with 320 bit-rate DRM-free downloads.

― am0n, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 19:44 (sixteen years ago) link
Yeah, these US deals are just for international distribution of previously released material.

i just got that lift boys 12" that gr80 linked to upthread. awesome. one side is kinda psych with tribal drumming; the other (my fave) sounds like countrified disco, then halfway through turns into... jack track with whooshing noises??
