this is called defamacation. These people have NO life. They are jaded musicians or want to be musicians who can't accept people who play alot of different types of music. It is obvious that I don't sound like Loreena Mc. Kenitt.spelling????whatever..
She plays celtic music that is about it..and harp...one instrument. There is no comparision. I am a progressive musician.
I play fusion...she doesn't. she doesn't play jazzy music..or classical, or rock alternative...and what you see on my site is not all of what I do...
just a fraction...but you some of you don't like it...stop harassing me about it....

i'd genuinely love to hear some of your music, marissa, but your perplexing habit of barracking people before they've even heard you, on the assumption that if they did, they WOULD DEFINITELY LOVE YOU and throw away the rest of their record collections on principle, is making it harder for me to make the leap.

And what's all this cant about the worthlessness of singers who don't write their own material? There's a world of difference between covering other people's songs and having songs written for you; and it's fairly easy to reel off a list of incredibly gifted singers who never wrote a song in their lives.

But I agree - there's a lot of incredibly boring music in the world, and if I had the talent to do so, I'd do my best to counter that dullness with some staggeringly original songs and jaw-dropping performances. As it is, I - and most of ILM - spend my days sifting through the shit to find the good stuff.
