I think fried chicken is already violating the diet jess. breading? In the beginning you've got to watch out for *all* carbs.

Atkins is wack, by that diet's logic everybody in Japan would weigh 5,000 lbs. Also Thailand, China, etc.

Ronan there's a way that people make potatos in upstate NY that's quite delicious v. plain comfort food. You skin the potatos, then boil the hell out of them in a solution that's half water, half milk, and like a full quarter-cup of salt (or more, even!). These way salty potatos will make you feel very warm and loved.

Jess however cannot eat them.

how do you figure that john? Japanese diets are very lean with lots of seafood and soy.

recipe for taste-sensational act of madness:

I have a package of chicken, tortellini, and sundrieds from TJ's (it's been sitting in the fridge for a week and I forgot I'd even bought it -- hope it's still good), and some leftover fresh basil. Tomorrow night I'm gonna get a couple cans of pureed tomato, throw the whole mess together, heat it up, and call it soup.
