It's perfectly possible to do an amazing Italian-free horror list, but I don't know why you'd purposefully want to cut off your naso to spite your faccia.

I know what you mean. I might also have to be quite strict on the distinction between horror and giallo. Maybe. Depends on quite how full to bursting my list gets. Night of the Hunter has been accepted into the horror cannon for a while, though.

A miniseries is still a series! There is no way you can get around the fact that it just isn't a film.

I kind of want it struck from the list because I don't want to see it languishing at the bottom like an unloved film, when it should instead be seen as a much-loved TV programme.

horror is way cleverer, has better cinematography, more plot, deeper characterisation

B+ trolling, but shitty tech qualities actually HELP many horror films... early Romero, Cronenberg before he moved to the adults' table, etc.

Hmmm . . . maybe at some point we should poll "monster movies" separately from "horror movies."
