DJP if you haven't read all of PBF yet you should

I was posting these more to smh at College Humor stealing all these comics wholesale

乒乓, Tuesday, 19 November 2013 17:22 (ten years ago) link

One of the worst things about Web 2.0 is that the guys running College Humor are probably richer than half the combined net worth of ILX

Can you imagine being the College Humor intern whose job it was to save the pictures and put a College Humor logo on each one in Photoshop

Perhaps he got paid in a 30 pack of keystone light

乒乓, Tuesday, 19 November 2013 17:23 (ten years ago) link

haha dude look upthread, I'm all over this (though haven't been keeping up lately and probably have forgotten half of them)

the unicorn power one is a long-time fave

Haha, yes, I'm sure the college humor guys are easily worth at least $310,000.

Quality zing

乒乓, Tuesday, 19 November 2013 17:31 (ten years ago) link

The thing with the unicorn one is the CH logo obscures the shirt's text

乒乓, Tuesday, 19 November 2013 17:31 (ten years ago) link

Thanks, 乒乓.

idk what it is about me that I adore everything he's done in comic form, but find the animated/live action stuff an instant turnoff, even though I can see it's the same sense of humour? I'm sure i'm alone in this..

sktsh, Wednesday, 19 March 2014 23:54 (ten years ago) link

You are not alone in this, it feels a lot more heavy handed for one thing.

ewar woowar (or something), Thursday, 20 March 2014 00:54 (ten years ago) link

Think this would be a lot funnier if it was 5-10 seconds long, like an animated Vine or something

Vinnie, Thursday, 20 March 2014 03:14 (ten years ago) link

"Puppet Porno" was pretty funny but the cartoons are excruciating

open-y, ob-la-da (Whiney G. Weingarten), Thursday, 20 March 2014 03:40 (ten years ago) link

Yeah, these definitely feel like a step down, wish he'd return to cartooning, since he was so good at it. You could almost imagine the "Mr. Faeber" as a mid-quality PBF cartoon, but the length of the cartoon does it no favours, the joke should be over once the kid is eaten.

Tuomas, Thursday, 20 March 2014 10:48 (ten years ago) link

"Dr. Edgar O. Wye," eh? Well at least he's doing the Gorey tribute to the full.

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 December 2014 16:50 (nine years ago) link

the execution is very good, better than the concept

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 17 December 2014 16:52 (nine years ago) link

I'm still not sure I get it. Santa is an elf in disguise?

Hark! The Village People (fake penthouse letters mcgee), Wednesday, 17 December 2014 16:59 (nine years ago) link

Santa is secretly impregnating all the elf mamas I guess? Not very good, anyway.

the joke should be over once the kid is eaten. (chap), Wednesday, 17 December 2014 17:00 (nine years ago) link
