That was the worst performance? Viewed in that light it wasn't too bad. Some of you are no doubt familiar with UK X Factor and maybe Britain's (Not) Got Talent, so I'm guessing that our version will be considerably worse.

Unless of course there is some major major screening of potential contestants before they are let anywhere near the coaches.

alicia keys backup singer dude was pretty O_Omazing on the monday show actually, first time i got something beyond robotically trained performer out of him and tbh i was pretty shocked.

totally agree about the HIV/recovery dude, he's pretty mindblowingly good. opera dude is great as well but needs to have someone not insane pick songs for him.

opera dude was the only performance I caught this week and I was basically sitting there going "wtf why am I enjoying a rendition of 'Vida La Vida'" mixed in with "I bet this is what Mr. Gwyneth Paltrow thinks he sounds like"

you didnt miss that much really (other than alicia keys dude), basically mostly adequate stuff, that lindsey lady with the fancy haircut keeps getting more awful each week and stompy country pillowhead was better than she has been before but was still almost indescribably terrible. oh yeah and i guess despite all logic on tues cristina saved lindsey and dumped the 17 yr old girl that kept getting miles better every week.

this is unreal. that venue is a favorite of mine - it is in such a chill part of town and never had any known incidents. Security is pretty good too.

I will admit to not being familiar with Christina before tonight but all of the pictures of her looking vibrant and full of life, a driven musician, are just too much right now. this is so fucked up. and it happened while she was signing autographs for fans.

gutted for her family, but also gutted for the people who were likely traumatized by the scene. one witness ran out screaming to say a guy had just shot himself next to her, and his disfigured body laid on the concrete.
