I wonder how much of MM's popularity rested on early 60s fashion (more than one'd think, I expect), and how damaged that popularity will be by late 60s fashion (which I feel like is relatively hideous to most modern eyes).

I wonder how many critics will be like "They're overdoing crazy late 60s styles!" cuz it's almost hard to believe how weirdly people actually started dressing

banana republic might have some trouble selling/marketing the 1966 stuff to its target audience. although it'll do fine in other places that don't capitalize on drabness.
