L.A. is a great big freeway.
Put a hundred down and buy a car.
In a week, maybe two, they'll make you a star
Weeks turn into years. How quck they pass
And all the stars that never were
Are parking cars and pumping gas

exploding art!

EXPLOSIONS: Head to The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA for the opening of Cai Guo-Qiang: Sky Ladder, the first West Coast solo exhibition of Guo-Qiang's work. It will feature his new works that include what Cai is best known for—outdoor explosions and gunpowder drawings. The exhibition will open with an outdoor explosion event "Mystery Circle: Explosion Event for The Museum of Contemporary Art" on the exterior wall of The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (facing Temple Street) at 7:30 pm. The exhibit will run until July 30. Check out this entry on the MOCA blog to read more on the artist and the exhibit.

I don't really start threads, but there should maybe be a Defend the Indefensible for people who back into parking spaces.

Spencer Chow, Thursday, 19 April 2012 05:15 (eleven years ago) link

I backed into my own driveway just now

Memorial Highway (admrl), Thursday, 19 April 2012 05:18 (eleven years ago) link

You can of course do what you like in your own driveway. I'm talking about in crowded parking lots with people waiting.

Spencer Chow, Thursday, 19 April 2012 05:22 (eleven years ago) link

I don't think we use "Defend The Indefensible" anymore, Spencer. Showing your age ;)
