ok so i have been going to la bomba pretty much every weekend and atleast getting a pincho which is skewered fried pork and onion on a stick with bbq sauce. but i have also gotten the bacalaitos which are a paste made with cod and potatos and they make it flattened into a round shape. i'm not finding good imgs with the googles right now but i will post photos at some point. and the pastelillos are quite good: a meat pie kinda like an empanada but the thing has more shell; like there's just a bit of meat in a little ball right in the middle and you can crunch away at the pod all around. and today i got a rellano de papa which is like a mashed potato ball stuffed with ground beef and onion/spice mixture and balled, up breaded, and fried. mmm

I've had alcapurrias, but they weren't plantain, they were shredded yucca, I think.

yea the menu i have for la bomba "translates" alcapurria to "banana dumpling" which is kinda misleading seeing as how the lady told me they were potato stuffed with pork.

this is the "banana dumpling" mentioned above. i think it is made with plantain though. it is a very soft dough whatever it is, and it's stuffed with ground pork, onions and spices before taking it's turn in the fryer. also a great snack

this is very similar to empanada. it is a flaky crust enclosing just a bit of ground beef, onions and spices. also a great snack.
