He is a little older than the rest of the group, but anyone who 38-year-olds can’t be hot is just stupid, cause this guy proves them very wrong.
This was the blurb on the back of Ausmus's Donruss card, I believe.

The High Five
In 1977, Glenn Burke ran onto the field to congratulate his Los Angeles Dodgers teammate Dusty Baker after Baker hit his 30th home run in the last game of the regular season. Burke raised his hand over his head as Baker jogged home from third base. Not knowing what to do about the upraised hand, Baker slapped it, thus the two together were credited with inventing the high five.[10] After retiring from baseball, Burke, used the high five with other homosexual residents of the Castro district of San Francisco, where for many it became a symbol of gay pride and identification.[citation needed]

I've stared at the screen for five minutes trying to think of a response that isn't "Fuck you, Torii Hunter."

But former Angels outfielder Torii Hunter, among baseball's most thoughtful and intelligent players, isn't kidding when he says an "out" teammate could divide a team."For me, as a Christian … I will be uncomfortable because in all my teachings and all my learning, biblically, it's not right," he says. "It will be difficult and uncomfortable."

I'm fairly sure that most professional athletes have opinions on political and social issues that I would find abhorrent, if only I knew about them. I try not to think about that and enjoy sports regardless.

Right. Publicized bigotry from a person/player you respected and liked is something else, though.
