Yeah I have the Garlands split single with someone and it's great, got it when they played London Popfest a couple of years ago

Besides being a great Godz song, they're a great Chicago band who just released their self-titled album. "Miracle" is on it, though this is technically from the single from last October.

They're like a fuzzy hybrid of The Bats and Outrageous Cherry.

sounds a lot like the lucksmiths obviously. new band 'last leaves' with 3 of the 4 lucksmiths and a new drummer.

ha no not wrong, but yeah it's probably my least favourite song of his thus far. will be v interested to see how it goes with the full band treatment. choosing to sing his own songs was an interesting idea

this Megaphonic Thrift album is better at Imperial Teen than the new Imperial Teen album.

new single by The School not bad, a bit less of a drag than the non-single tracks on their album. but the opening track is lifting part of the melody of something else and i'm struggling to put my finger on it

the newest klaus & kinski record is really very nice. seems as if they don't get much credit for being kinda great. they churn out the records too.

listening to the compilation the rainyards put up on bandcamp. fantastic. in spite of having a friend that was obsessed with summershine once upon a time I was completely unaware of their goodness.

when they buried oso panda in their next video it was cute. apparently they are like 19. they sound almost cosmopolitan now compared to oso panda. the milkyway influence.

Love the newer Novella stuff. Pretty good live too. Although 'Don't Believe Ayn Rand' has a chorus that I can't help but mishear as 'cheese, sausage roll' (it's 'she's lost control).

that toy track is pretty good but gosh they are an awkward looking bunch. straight out of my junior high school talent show. be better without the intro.

heard a new Allo Darlin' track on the radio yesterday. Sounded pretty good. Anyone heard the album?

Pitchfork gushed over it. Usually their acceptable definition of indiepop is something turgid like summer hymns so that review is a surprise.

i disliked the opening single (though liked the b-side) and slumberland/fortuna pop have yet again conspired to ensure i can't get it off emusic so i don't think i'll be hearing it in a hurry

i love them. i am sure i will love the album when i hear it.

going to go see them live in a week or so!

listening now, more substantial production, still utterly charming, smart and terrific. my one tax refund splurge.
