Easily the best thing I've seen all day and for quite some time. Good work, thanks for sharing.

If those are supposed to be real t-shirts the scale is only big enough for a child.

Moka, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 03:58 (twelve years ago) link

That's why they're still in stock. Kids don't frequent 2nd-hand vinyl shops. That's my excuse, anyway

lol it wouldn't be ilx without someone to nitpick/get pedantic about someone's carefully crafted artwork

love the speakers on the wall in the 3rd pic

James you should also consider photographing the store using the tilt-shift technique

calstars, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 04:18 (twelve years ago) link

LOVE THIS!!!!

holy hell man

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 04:49 (twelve years ago) link

This is just the best.

Those little records remind me of this old friend who built model semi-trucks, and for display purposes he put photo-reduced copies of Playboy and Penthouse in the sleeper cabs.

lol don't get me wrong I think the whole thing is really cool!
I just don't know... the ratio t-shirt / vinyl was irking me and even the way they're positioned. I think it would look better if the walls were filled with more convert posters rather than xxxs t-shirts.

Moka, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 04:53 (twelve years ago) link

*concert posters not convert. Did a google search for convert rock posters out of curiosity and this came out:

Gotta pop up out of lurker deep-freeze to chime in on how cool this is. Well done, dude.

Is that Chronic Town down one and to the left of Screamadelica?

p.s. this is amazing. you are a hero. this is the first thing to make me really happy in a few days.

The Reverend, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 08:50 (twelve years ago) link

If people are interested, I can post the PDFs from which to make this somewhere. I designed it all in Indesign, and all the bits print out onto 3 or 4 A4 pages of card, from memory.
