The money comes in from the linkbait sites hosting AdWords ads or Amazon affiliate links or some other such crap that pays per click. The scammer gets juice through SEO on a bunch of interconnected spam sites and tries to get up in the rankings for some profitable google search or other, their sites get clicked on in Google searches, people come to the site, inevitably click an ad, and the scammer makes a nickel.

The WP Mage fellow up at the top is the most obvious example of the SEO shit itt.

my uncle has been CFO for half a dozen diff startups and either his last or most current one is an SEO firm.

i wonder if i should ask him about these ppl... only thing is i have no clue where to start :\
