Srsly read Whirlpools forums sometime - I would like to think fucking tech forums were full of leftish ppl but no, theyre all U NO TEK MY FREE PRON AND MOVIES U CUNCE IM VOTING LIB
Railing against Labor over the filter is fine because it was a RONG policy, but saying 'therefore I'm voting for the bigots' is well out of order, obviously. Problem is, you can't choose the not-bigot party because there isn't one.
Yesterday Abbott announced an indigenous ~thing~ that on paper looks reasonably sympathetic and even reconciliatory. I doubt it actually is, but my point is that Labor is now such a fucking duff party that Abbott can move into Gillard's social policy holes and just clean up. If he allows same-sex marriage to proceed, that's his last social policy manacle discarded and he will romp it in next year, guaranteed.

Boss has given me an irritatingly complex and PITA new task to have to do every month and Im not sure I'm gonna get it right and its a report the Big Boss will be reviewing which is making me feel weird because I have to put the data in manually which means it isnt guaranteed to be accurate and AAAAAARGH.

btw the rudd spill has come from gillard's low polling and shithouse take on leadership – if she weren't such a mystifying bell-end they wouldn't be imploding

i.e. if the rudd forces hadn't arced up someone else would have by now
rudd forces have been on constant sputtering arc since Gillard spill tho, if the party had gotten behind Gillard she wouldn't look so rickety

gillard's polling has been shithouse since she got in though, i mean abbott of all people keeps out-polling her ffs

i have eaten cucumbers that would out-poll that troglodyte
i'm not saying #spill is the solution, i'm saying it's understandable that they would want to save themselves from (a) electoral oblivion (b) just completely dying as a party

http://www.crikey.com.au/2012/02/20/gonski-a-simple-sensible-model-for-a-terrified-government/
It’s clear, judging by both the outcome of the Gonski review and the government’s immediate dispatch of it to the purgatory of COAG, that Labor has lost any appetite for making good the damage inflicted by the Howard government’s SES school funding model, which continues to this day to allocate millions of dollars to Australia’s wealthiest schools. That model was the Howard government at its most ideological, based on John Howard’s personal vision of a taxpayer-funded transformation of Australians into his ideal of Liberal voters — nuclear families, shareholders, privately schooled, using private health insurance. The conservative Catholic school system was a particular favourite of that government, serving as a low-income distraction from the direction of extraordinary levels of funding to Australia’s richest schools (and the rapid increase in that funding).Eventually that vision morphed into a simpler mass vote-buying exercise, as Howard’s social engineering gave way to pork-barrelling on an extraordinary scale that left it with a structural budget deficit and a profound sense of entitlement.
