Ratt: C or D?

Y'know how the Rolling Stones covered Rufus Thomas' "Walkin' The Dog" on their debut album; and ten years later Aerosmith likewise recorded "Walkin' The Dog" on their own debut, and were deemed "2nd-rate Rolling Stones imitators"; and then ten years after that Ratt recorded "Walkin' The Dog" for their debut EP, and were called "the poor man's Aerosmith"?...and then 1993 rolls around, grunge has happened, and the tradition ends there. No way will D-Generation or Rancid or whoever find a pouty lead singer and record "Walkin' The Dog" for their debut album and risk being dismissed as "watered-down Ratt."

Let's all take a moment out of our crazy lives and all this political stuff going on in the world to salute rocker John Bon Jovi for his long-overdue induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame (Cleaveland, OH)! John has been rockin' into our lives for many years and I think we all owe him and his band a debt of gratitude. It truly is the little moments in life that matter, and BonJovi has provided us with so many of the best ones, from hits such as "Living with a Prayer" to the life-affirming classic "The Summer of 1969," and even during his more melancholly moments such as "Pink Houses," John has kept the good times a rockin and a rollin through the good times and bad! We salute you for a successful career, Bon Jovey, and we know you'rte going to enjoy your stay at the Hall for many years to come. After all, like the song goes, "we've got to hold on to what we've got, It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not"
