it is kinda weird that even despite a lot of ILX not feeling MBDTF it still placed at #7 last year (and even that was amusingly low), wheres WTT...#73 is nowhere for an album/artists of that profile

This is one of the joys of listening to music in a digital age, guys. I love the Toro y Moi album (it was in my top 5) and didn't even remember that the cover looked like that.

i feel like toro y moi always place somewhere in the low end or middle of ilx polls and bore me in exactly the same way every time

I love that cover! Another one I enjoyed but didn't vote for.

Thought Toro Y Moi would be so much chillwave, but its actually excellent funky dreamy pop and totally doesn't deserve that tag. Elise is a grrrreat track.

That Wild Flag album cover reminds me of Abacab by Genesis...

Glad to see Robag Wruhme place - one of the last things I checked out from the nominations list, absolutely loved it.

love the Toro Y Moi album ("How I Know" is a great song), also I love the cover - the most beautiful one I've seen all year and gonna stan for it 4eva.
hopefully Chaz finally will recover from the "chillwave" tag he's getting slapped upon, it's just unfair for him to be written off just like that by lazy journalism

Actually played the Toro Y Moi quite a bit when it came out but completely forgot about it come the end of the year. It's perfectly pleasant.

Causers Of This was actually a better album IMO, I still regret I didn't give it #1 back in 2010 poll, as it would push it to the 77th place (afair)

Toro was low on my ballot. "Still Sound" and "New Beat" are total jams

btw nothing has come up on this countdown which IMO is better than When Saints Go Machine

(I probably ranked WTT higher on my ballot but, as I said, I would bump WTT up several spots were I to redo it)

Nothing I voted for has come up yet but I've particularly enjoyed first listens to the Barbara Panther and Robag Wruhme albums, both of which might have had a shot at slipping in at the bottom of my ballot if I'd heard them earlier.
